Pendant with polymer clay cabochon
About This Jewelry
The cabochon in this necklace pendant is made using the mokunegane technique. Different colors of clay are stacked, then various shapes are pressed through the layers. This causes the colors to blend in unusual ways.
The bezel on this jewel is woven from size 8 red glass seed beads. The embellishment includes smaller seed beads in pearl and galvanized metal finishes.
I’ve been working on making the process as productive as I can. I have about eight more cabochons that have their bezels done and the ultrasuede backing glued on. Now I need to add some final rows that join the fabrics and finish the pendants.
